P.S. & Co.’s Aquarius Season Playlist

P.S. & Co.’s Aquarius Season Playlist

And what you should snack on while listening…

There’s a cosmic shift in the air and we’re feeling inspired - it’s Aquarius season! To get those creative juices flowing, we’ve curated a playlist to fully embrace this misunderstood season. As always, we added some 100% organic vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, and kosher snack recommendations and Aquarius fun facts to round it out! Aquarius, the 11th sign of the western zodiac, is not a water sign, but an air sign. Yes, Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer, but Aquarians are known for being misunderstood and a little confusing so this is par for the course. Ruled by creative and unique Uranus, Aquarius is the humanitarian sign of the zodiac. Interestingly, before Uranus was discovered, rigid and serious Saturn was considered the ruler of Aquarius, this explains why many Aquarians are high achieving and competitive in addition to being open to the waves of change. You’ll often find them traveling to far away destinations with nothing but a backpack and an open mind, or using their humanitarian streak and knack for outside-the-box thinking to tackle systemic societal issues. So open your mind and heart to all that Aquarius season has to offer!

Set the Scene

When: Get your creative juices flowing with this playlist! Whether you're painting, writing, designing, or in the kitchen, use this Aquarian-based playlist to innovate.

Where: Wherever the universe calls you. Aquarius is a sign that’s known to “go with the flow” and not fight where the universe brings them. If you’re feeling inspired, turn this playlist up.

What (to eat): Aquarius is known for being unexpected and way out there, creating things many of us would never think of - something like…totally organic, vegan, plant-based, gluten-free, kosher, and hand-cut nachos! Don’t forget to follow up with, or start with an Organic Lemon Chia Muffin.

Aquarius fun fact: Aquarius is associated with the ankles, shins, calves, and circulatory system. These body parts and systems are the connectors. They connect the rest of your body to your feet which connect the earth so you feel grounded. Support those ankle joints with some anti-inflammatory Raw Juicery Wellness shots, specifically the Mini Boss! We also suggest staying away from refined sugars, trans fats, and animal products which encumber the circulatory system.

Abstract Aquarius Playlist

1. Free Your Mind by En Vogue: What better way to open this playlist?! Aquarius is all about opening (freeing, if you will) your mind and addressing big societal issues. The song is En Vogue’s biggest hit, and was very well received by critics when it debuted in 1992. As recently as 2022 (30 years later!), Quentin Harrison from Albumism described "Free Your Mind" as, "a searing rock number that challenged racism, sexism and other social phobias head-on was all at once, smart, sexy and provocative." Sounds like Aquarius to us!

2. Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 5 - Bizarrap & Shakira: So many Aquarian notes to be made here: 1) Born on Feb 7th, Shakira is an Aquarius 2) This song is so unique, it doesn’t even have a real title 3) Aquarians do not care for injustice, and in this song, Shakira addresses more than a few things she’d like to correct. Shakira has just about broken the internet with the song’s popularity and controversy surrounding her explosive breakup with long time partner, former football player Gerard Pique.

3. Your Name by Shea Couleé: If you don’t know Shea Couleé yet, chances are you will soon. Shea refuses to be put in a box and her credits are numerous, including competing on RuPaul’s Drag Race season 9, winning All Stars 5, and competing in the recent All Winners season - but the show was just the start for her. Shea has also released an EP, several singles, collabed on a beer appropriately named “Shea Coul-Alé”with popular brewery, Goose Island , and soon she’ll be the first drag queen to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Talk about a true creative!

4. Full Moon by Brandy: Aquarius is personified in singer-songwriter Brandy who embodies the sort of cool ease associated with Aquarian energy. Even her voice is unique, velvety and alluring yet distinct and powerful. In Full Moon, Brandy exhibits go-with-the-flow energy when she sings “Whatever the case, I'm feeling you right here and right now”.

5. BREAK MY SOUL by Beyoncé: The first single off of Bey’s latest album, RENAISSANCE, BREAK MY SOUL uses a memorable sample from Aquarian Big Freedia (also known as Queen Diva..but ”you already know!”) - a perfect choice since this song definitely encapsulates Aquarius energy! This song challenges the listener to look at life another way, find new motivation, get on a new vibration and build your own foundation. We’ll leave you with Big Freedia’s own words, “Release it all! Forget the rest!”

Think big! Innovate! Get Creative! Don’t succumb to societal pressures just because you think you should! Need more Aquarius inspiration? Check out our full Aquarius Playlist on Spotify!
